Silver City Press, an imprint of Canonbridge LLC, is one of three specialist imprints with a particular remit to print quality books on a number of subjects, fiction and non-fiction. 

The goal of all three imprints is to develop a list of titles of unique and interesting literary merit that are relevant to lives today and in the future, provide different perspectives on the past, and encourage readers to think in ways they might not have otherwise.

One of the key publications of Silver City Press is a series of anthologies by a group of innovative writers whose diverse views educate and encourage readers to think “outside the box”.

The following genres will catch our eye first:

Non-fiction:

Environment - both in regards to nature and in regards to civilisation
Philosophy - this includes the sub-category of religion
Politics and government International issues
Medicine
History, anthropology and archaeology
Biographies
Memoirs, autobiographies

**We are not interested in any non-fiction work written from an extremist point of view (not to be confused with revolutionary).

The pending fiction imprint will be looking first at the following:

Quality women's fiction
Quality historical fiction 
Mystery and crime
Comic fantasy/parody

The pending special-genre fiction imprint will consider:

Fantasy (outwith that stated above) 
Magic realism
Science fiction
LGBT fiction

At this time, the following are not under consideration:
 
Erotica
Gothic
Horror
Romance

Silver City Press will accept unsolicited submissions this year between 1 September and 31 December. However, authors are asked to check the guidelines prior to making their submission to ensure that all criteria are met. A query letter in advance via email or regular post is required.

Silver City Press will also accept unsolicited submissions from 1 June 2008 through 31 December 2008 for the yet-unnamed fiction and special-genre fiction imprints.  Please note "Fiction" or "Special Genre" on the address label.
